Congressional Recognition

We are honored to present some of the kind words directed to the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes. There is no doubt that members on both sides of the aisles have agreed on the need to support our veterans and several have gone on the Congressional Record lauding the Coalition to Support America's Heroes for the impact we provide.

The Congressional Record is a daily, verbatim account of all debate and discussion during the House and Senate sessions. It's been published since 1873 and includes the Extensions of Remarks section, which members of Congress use to add anything they want known but that may not have been said on the floor—including honoring groups such as the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes. This place of Statements listed in the Congressional Record become part of the permanent, hardbound copy available in larger library systems.

Though any member of Congress can add to the Congressional Record, with 535 members of Congress, it's not an easy task to get a mention. The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes has been mentioned six times. It's not quite the Congressional Medal of Honor, but a very rare honor indeed.
